🌸✨ Exciting News from the Farm! ✨🌸

Yesterday marked the launch of our women's program, "Hoofbeats and Heartbeats," and what a magical day it was! Women gathered to embark on a transformative six-month journey back to themselves.

Every other Sunday, we'll come together to nurture our spirits alongside our beautiful horses, engaging in breath work, sound baths, meditation, and journaling—just to name a few of the enriching experiences ahead.

🌙 Our gathering began in the serene Moon Grove in the forest, where we set intentions and meditated on our time together. We then headed out to the pasture to meet the horses. A truly special moment occurred when Toby made an incredible connection with Denise, reminding us of the power of presence and connection 🐴❤️.

We then ventured down to the lake for a powerful sound bath led by the talented Lora Bishop. The vibes were simply extraordinary, setting a perfect tone for "Hoofbeats and Heartbeats."

Thank you to everyone who joined us on this beautiful morning! We can’t wait to gather again in two weeks for more heartwarming experiences. Until then, may you embrace your own beats and heartbeats! 💖🌊

🐴❤️ At Healing with Horses, our equine companions are the heart and soul of our program. As we provide equine and farm-based services to children with special needs and those healing from trauma, caring for our horses and their health and well-being is a priority. This includes hoof care with the farrier, wellness appointments for vaccinations, and dental care with our vet.

Horses teeth naturally will grow very sharp, so it’s important to have routine dental care. This is called floating. And it involves filing down the horses teeth. This is important so that the horse can not only chew, but also digest their grain, hay and grass that they eat.

Today the vet came out and floated both Merlin and Toby‘s teeth . The horses have to be sedated and a very uncomfortable contraption has to be used so that the vet can not only open their mouths, but can see inside to work. Unfortunately, today we had to pull one of Toby‘s teeth that was very loose, as well as two of Merlin‘s teeth. 🦷 Poor Babies!

We depend on your support to ensure our horses receive the necessary care—special diets, yearly vaccinations, and dental work. Every contribution helps us maintain their wellness, allowing them to continue their vital work in our program. 💕

Thank you for being a part of our journey as we heal together with horses. 🐴✨

🌟 A Milestone Day at the Farm! 🌟

Today was an incredibly special day for Matt, an 18-year-old who’s been part of our equine-assisted learning program for the past two years. 💙 As a nonverbal young man with autism, he has shown amazing growth through our unmounted activities—working with horses, tackling farm chores, and developing crucial life skills like following directions, strategic thinking, and enhancing his motor skills.

After all the hard work and dedication, today marked a major milestone: Matt’s very first therapeutic horseback ride! 🐴✨

We started with some brushing and tacking up Merlin, and then, with a little help, Matt was able to confidently mount our gentle giant. As he settled on Merlin’s back, a huge smile spread across his face. 😊🎉 It was so heartwarming to see him following commands, telling Merlin to walk on and even throwing us high-fives!

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteer Amy, who guided Matt and supported him throughout this exciting journey. Together, we ventured into the arena for Matt's very first ride, and we couldn’t be prouder of him! 🙌💖

We can't wait for our next session together and to continue this amazing adventure with Matt. Keep shining, buddy! 🌈
