Leslie Moy

Secretary, Director

Leslie grew up in suburban Maryland surrounded by a loving family but bereft of animals. She promptly became a perpetual beginner horseback rider as soon as she could afford it and cloying dog parent as soon as she could commit the time to it. She’s been a volunteer literacy teacher for many decades working with adults and youngsters, and the chairperson on her condominium board’s ‘Building and Grounds Committee’ which monitors the condominium’s engineering safety and aesthetics.  In the real world she is a senior scientist for a NASA contractor calibrating satellites that measure ozone in the stratosphere. She is proud to serve as secretary and be a part of the Fox Moon Farm Project.

Sponsor a Horse. Change a Life.

Behind every healing session at Fox Moon Farm is a horse who shows up — every single day — with patience, presence, and an open heart. 🐴

Our horses are the heart of what we do. They are therapists, teachers, and companions all in one. And caring for them is no small commitment.

It costs approximately $300 per month to care for one horse — covering hay, grain, veterinary care, farrier visits, and daily support.

That's where you come in.

By sponsoring a horse at Fox Moon Farm, you become a direct partner in our mission. Your monthly gift ensures our horses are healthy, well-fed, and ready to do the powerful work they do with every child and adult who visits our farm.

In return, you'll receive:
✨ Updates on your sponsored horse
✨ Visits with your horse
✨ Credit on our website
✨ The knowledge that you're part of something truly special

Every horse we care for is another child who gets to experience healing. Every sponsor is a thread in that story.

Will you consider sponsoring one of our horses?

Our Therapeutic Riding Program is Different. Here's Why.

Not all horseback riding programs are the same. Ours was built differently — on purpose. 🐴
At Fox Moon Farm, our Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program goes far beyond teaching kids to post a trot or steer around cones.

Yes, our students learn traditional riding skills — balance and posture, understanding gaits, leg and seat cues, and building a genuine partnership with their horse.

But what makes us different is what happens alongside the riding:
✨ Horsemanship first. Before anyone ever mounts, students learn to read horse behavior, understand body language, practice safe handling, and build a relationship with their horse from the ground up.
✨ Mindfulness woven in. Every lesson includes breathwork and mindfulness practice — teaching riders to self-regulate, stay present, and use these tools far beyond the barn.
✨ Emotional and behavioral support. Our certified instructor understands that students who struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or emotional dysregulation need more than riding technique. We address the whole person.
✨ Life skills, not just riding skills. Our students leave with tools — for navigating the world, for managing big emotions, for standing in their own strength.
We believe that riding a horse teaches you more about yourself than almost anything else. We're here to help our students make the most of that. 💚
